Co Founders & Owners

Franklin grew up in a wine loving family as the son of John and Toni Tate, Founders of Evans and Tate Wines. Franklin and Heather have devoted their life to bottling up the best of the Margaret River region. They pride themselves on their committed and caring team.

Director

Mark has worked with Tate Wine for over 25 years. With over 40 years experience in banking & investment including roles at ANZ, Westpac and Royal Australian Engineers. We don’t know how he fits it in, but he is currently working with AFSG Capital and Mantis Funds Management. Mark would never say no to a glass of Australian shiraz and a match of tennis.

Finance Director

Phillip assists in achieving optimal performance for Tate Wine. He works alongside Franklin to optimise profitability and cash flow. Beyond crunching numbers, Phillip is a scuba diving instructor and qualified TEC 50 diver.

Director of Winemaking

Frederique grew up in France where she has fond memories of the influence of wine from early on. With an incredibly respected palate, Frederique brings a calabre of winemaking that is highly revered in the industry.

Senior Winemaker

Established winemaker, formerly working at Flametree Wines. Julian has extensive experience in Western wineries, boasting the best of Margaret River in his wines.

Winemaker- Operations

Italian born and bred winemaker Emiliano started his career in Barbaresco, Italy, and as he established his winemaking he ventured to McLaren Vale, South Australia. He has broad geographical knowledge of Italy and Australia. He loves being hands on in every element on the winemaking process.

Group Viticulturalist

In charge of our five vineyards, Beau understands how to balance the environmental impacts to bring the best out of the vines that grow on each vineyard.

Vineyard Supervisor

Pete is our resident grape guru Vineyard Supervisor and Beau’s right-hand man. He is passionate about wine and the great outdoors and uses his knowledge and green thumb to cultivate the best grapes in the region.

Vineyard Technician

Ben assists in nurturing our vines to the highest standard and quality. He uses his keen eye for detail to keep our vineyards healthy and vibrant!

Logistics Coordinator

Jamie is in charge of the running of our three offices in Margaret River and helping in both the Winemaking and Vineyard teams and keeping everyone in the loop.

Director of Sales

With extensive leadership experience working in wine sales, Tina provides valuable insights and no-nonsense guidance for all matters of wine. When she is not working, Tina is running, cooking or spending time with her family.

North America Business Advisor

For all of our wine sales abroad, Richard is our go to middle man. Maintains strong partnerships with customers abroad and drives growth of international wine supply.

WA Sales Manager - Central North & Central South

Steve started at TATE WINE in early 2018 and has established a reputation for his enthusiast sales skills and generous nature. He spends much of his time importing his sound knowledge to his loyal customers.

Area Manager - South West

A South West local, Sally is our sales representative for all of our regional liquor stores sales. Having worked in family business previously, Sally really values a close knit team.

On Premise Area Manager

Rachel comes to Tate Wine with a variety of sales experience in Real Estate, Events and Business which provides an understanding of the knowledge and expertise she brings to the team. Also coming from a Sicilian family she knows nothing beats the pairing of food and wine.

Area Manager - North & North East

With a life full of experience of sales and promotions, Linley is an expert at representing the Tate Wine brand. Linley’s personable nature takes our wines beyond something to drink too a lifestyle.

Sales Service Manager

Te is our resident Sales Service Manager extraordinaire. She’s brings to Tate Wine a keen eye for sales coordinating and has a knack for creating cohesive reports faster than you can say Riesling.

Sales Administrator

The welcoming face as you enter, and the friendly voice over the phone. The go-to in the office for everything, and always has a great recommendation

Tastings & Promotions

Emma is a pro at creating buzz around our wines and she shares the story behind each bottle, from vineyard to glass, captivating our customers with the journey of our wines.

Finance

Peter specialises in managing cashflow, finance trends & forecasting to keep Tate Wine’s accounts happy and healthy. Although Peter lives and breathes finance, he has recently gotten into collecting antiques which he didn’t have included in his budget. We recommend asking Peter how many beer steins he has in his collection now!

Transaction Manager

Christobel is in charge of our transactions both in and out of the business. She is so quiet you would never know she is there, but a terrible poker-face when trying not to laugh.

Accounts Payable

Vikki is the lovely face that does a great job at making sure our bills are paid and every receipt is collected. Vikki travels from Mandurah everyday to bless us with her smiley face and delicious cookies.

Head of Marketing

Olivia specialises in marketing and brand development for our entire brand family. Daughter of Franklin, her passion for wine developed having seen his expertise and adaptability in the industry.

Design Coordinator

Rosa is our wonderful design coordinator for all of our labels and brands. Rosa has extensive experience in a variety of industries, an incredible eye for detail, design and illustrations. We are overjoyed to have such an accomplished designer on our team!

Content Coordinator

Kylie is our resident explorer, with extensive experience in travel photography, even winning the Lonely Planet travel photography competition in 2017. She is our social media wizz and has put the suitcases down to join us here at Tate Wine.

Production Manager

Nikki is Tate Wine’s Google. She knows all there is about production, printing and Tate Wine. We are extremely privileged to have such a hardworking individual on the team.

Logistics Administration

Organises freight and logistics interstate and internationally, working to ensure the utmost efficiency and ease in the transportation process. We are very happy to have Emily on board!

Production Scheduler & Procurement Officer

Dan works in our logistics and production team making sure we are all organised and working on schedule. Dan blesses our working team from his very own Adelaide office.

Production & Logistics Officer

Tiana focuses her time orchestrating wine deliveries within Australia. She works alongside the logistics and production team to ensure smooth operations occur.

Office Manager

Anna is our multitasking maestro here in the Tate Wine head office. As our Office Manager Extraordinaire, she makes our office a vibrant place to work and is always there to support our team!

Supervisor of Barking & Drama

Mr Fernando Tate blessed the Tate Wine office for years. He had the staff trained extremely well, especially Peter whom brought in his own biscuits to feed Fernando. Fernando now supervisors the office from the sky with unlimited chicken sandwiches.

Jnr Supervisor

Fettuccine (Feta for short) has been hired recently as our acting supervisor directly reporting to Mr Fernando Tate. He is extremely focused on rating the staff lunches, snacks and cuddles. Fernando has been impressed with his work already.

Margaret River Supervisor

Slater does an excellent job supervising the Margaret River team and the whole winemaking process at Tate Wine. He ensures quality control. He loves sticks, running around the vineyards and as many pats as possible.

Director of Woof-Making

Valkyrie takes her work seriously and is a dedicated vine surveyor, splitting her time between the field and the office. She understands the fine art of woofing and is not afraid of spontaneous communication.
